Julia is a Corporate Governance Financial Analyst with the Corporate Governance and Proxy Voting team in Segal Marco Advisors’ Chicago office. She has over four years of combined experience researching corporate governance, corporate structures and corporate responsibility from conducting undergraduate research and working at Segal Marco Advisors.
Prior to joining Segal Marco Advisors, Julia worked in project management at Highlander Renewables LLC, a renewable energy project management company specializing in wind and solar implementation. Before that, Julia interned with the US Embassy in Accra, Ghana where she tracked and updated policy implementation for the Updated Nationally Determined Contribution under the Paris Agreement (2020 – 2030) and sourced research for federal reports such as the Human Rights Report, Child Labor Report and Trafficking in Persons Report.
Julia received her BA in Global Studies with a concentration in Politics and Diplomacy and a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Illinois at Springfield. She will be pursuing her MS in Sustainable Development in 2024.
In addition to contributing to Segal Marco Advisors’ 2023 Annual Corporate Governance Report, Julia authored “Ever Evolving: ESG Reporting for Environmental Proposals.”
